What is an RCD
RCD stands for Residual Circuit Device. It is an
electrical safety switch that almost instantaneously switches off the
electricity if there is a short to earth, such as when someone touches a
live wire by mistake. It can save lives and every home should have one.

What is the difference between a
Room Air Conditioner and Evaporative Air Conditioning.
A room airconditioner cools the air by refrigeration and re-circulates
the air, usually one unit is required in each room that is to be cooled.
Evaporative air conditioning cools the air by utilising the cooling effect
that happens when water evaporates. It does this by bringing fresh air
into the property through a water soaked filter and usually one roof
mounted unit is enough to cool the whole property by distributing the cold
air through ducts with outlets mounted in the ceiling.

What is ducted heating.
Ducted heating consists of one heating unit which distributes warm air
throughout the property through ducts and outlets. The heating unit is
normally installed in the roof space if the property has a concrete floor.
If there is space underneath the floor the unit can be installed under the
floor or at the side of the house. The outlets are either in the ceiling
or floor depending on the position of the heating unit.

What is water hammer.
Water hammer is the noise made when water pipes vibrate and make a
knocking noise when the water is turned off or on. It is normally caused
by high water pressure and the sudden turning off of the water by
appliances such as washing machines. It can be prevented by the
installation of a water hammer arresting device.
